The battle of the cleansers...

As seen from the photo above, I have more cleansers than a normal person would actually need…but I excuse myself with the fact that cleansing is the most important part of your skincare. And that being said, throughout the month my skin changes from oily to normal, sometimes irritated and sensitive. Also i prefer to use lighter cleansers in the morning, and the heavy duty balms in the evening.

So, on to the actual cleansers

Aesop Parsley Seed Cleanser

Probably my most favourite out of the bunch. It is a gel like cleanser, that contains Lactic acid to gently exfoliate the skin. The scent is amazing, very refreshing and calming, packed in the typical dark brown glass with a pump, that looks so chic on the sink. It does not dry out my skin, it leaves it soft and plumped. Its a fairly big bottle, but the pump pumps out a bit too much product, what is a little bit annoying. I bought it as a part of the Quill set but you can buy it separately.

Tammy Fender Levander and Fo-Ti cleansing milk

Well, this cleanser is nothing like i used before. Obviously creamy as it's a milk, feels very comfortable, the scent is out of this world, zingy levander, that leather around. I use it on days when my skin feels dry and itchy, or just as a treat, second cleanse in the night. I bought this as set with the Tammy Fender Antioxidant Neroli cream for 75£, but worth 110£, so it is an absolute bargain.

Perricone Md Nutritive cleanser

The least favourite of the bunch, even i liked it quite a lot at the beginning, but mostly for the baby powder scent, that can be very overpowering. It is a good cleanser, does the job, but I dont see any difference in my skin, and it is quite expensive for what it is.

Sunday Riley Ceramic slip cleanser

This one I bought becouse of the hype surrounding it. It is a good cleanser, definately for the morning, as it is refreshing, non foaming clay based cleanser, so great for oily skin types. It claims to reduce the pore size (didnt notice any difference). Has a non offensive sent, does not irritate the skin. Fairly on the expensive side, but the brand itself is amazing!

Clinique Take the day off

This is a heavy duty cleansing balm, that breaks down make-up as no other. Comes in a big jar, lard like balm, of course no scent as expected from Clinique, so people sensitive to scents can use it as well. You take an almond amount of product between your finders, warm it up and massage it into your skin, including your eyes, then you wet your hands with warm water and continue massaging. The balm reacts to the hot water with breaking down the make-up, easily, even waterproof mascara…then you soak a muslin cloth or a wash mitt and clean off any residue. It cleans my sking perfectly, but I still do make a second cleanse with my Aesop or Tammy Fender. I highly recommend this cleanser, but i dont know if i would repurchase it, simply becouse i miss the therapeutic scent as with the Emma Hardie Moringa balm.

Omorovicza Thermal Cleansing Balm

Although I have just 4 luxury sample size jars from this cleanser, this is definately one that i will purchase. I am a huge fan of Omorovicza, and this balm is total luxury. The scent is very nice, the consistency very rich , altough i did notice that you have to use more product then with other cleansers. It does clean the face properly, but hence the price, i would use it as a second cleanser, simply for the benefits it gives to the skin. I tried a lot of balms, but none of them did my skin felt like this one…soft as a baby's bum, plumed, refreshed…simply amazing.

I did try other cleansing balms as Eve Lom, Liz Earle, Emma Hardie, but i didnt include them, as I dont have anymore the packaging.
